		<description>&lt;p&gt;In this case, the synonym means that &lt;em&gt;Gymnopus spectabilis&lt;/em&gt; was (incorrectly) used by Singer in 1951 to refer to what we now know as &lt;em&gt;P. aurea&lt;/em&gt;. &lt;em&gt;G. spectabilis&lt;/em&gt; is now properly known as G&lt;em&gt;ymnopilus junonius&lt;/em&gt; (Fr.) P.D. Orton.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

You may want to check as Gymnopilus spectabilis (formerly Pholiota spectabilis and other with same species name are distinctly different mushroom.
